Materials, surfacing and innovation from the Canary Islands

BYOND Canarias began decades ago with a search for better surfacing and waterproofing solutions. That experience led to Zoruflex, a range developed to meet different industry requirements through adaptable systems, efficient application and carefully considered finishes. It helped us grow across the islands, particularly through projects in public spaces.

As we grew, we established our own R&D and innovation department and laboratory, began manufacturing resins in the Canary Islands and became waste managers. Today we incorporate recycled glass in Zoruflex, Byo Eco Continuo Natural and our resin formulations, and we are developing ByoGlass, a 3D-printing material incorporating recycled glass and volcanic ash, with a formulation intended to reduce the cement required and replace virgin aggregates with reused materials. Today, Zoruflex, BYO Reefs 3D and BYOND Technology share the same approach: improving existing systems and working towards more efficient, sustainable solutions on land and in the marine environment.
