Byo Eco Estabilizado and Continuo Natural

Two BYOND systems for paths and landscape settings. Both incorporate recycled glass: one works with the existing ground; the other creates a continuous surface with a natural-looking finish.

01 · BYOND system

Byo Eco Estabilizado

The site's aggregate is mixed in situ with a binder containing recycled glass, calcium oxide and silicates. This approach uses the local material to form the path and retain the character of its surroundings.

02 · BYOND system

Byo Eco Continuo Natural

A continuous surfacing system incorporating recycled glass, applied over a prepared substrate. It provides a natural-looking finish for pedestrian routes where a more uniform surface is required.

What does soil stabilisation involve?

Stabilisation involves mixing the ground material with a binder to form a usable surface. In Byo Eco Estabilizado, the local aggregate is part of the final path rather than simply a base hidden beneath another finish. Its grading, moisture and composition guide the mix design.

Choosing the system for your path

The choice starts with the intended use, ground conditions and required finish. We assess slopes, drainage, expected traffic and how the route meets adjoining surfaces. For Estabilizado, permeability depends on the specified mix; for Continuo Natural, substrate preparation and the finishing system are planned together.

Where each system fits

Rural paths and trails
Byo Eco Estabilizado works with local aggregate where retaining the appearance of the ground is a priority.
Pedestrian routes
Byo Eco Continuo Natural provides a continuous finish where the project calls for a more uniform walking surface.
Parks, gardens and greenways
We select the system according to the terrain, intended use, drainage and landscape design.

How Byo Eco Estabilizado is installed

  1. Assess the ground

Check the local aggregate, its grading and ground conditions.

  2. Specify the mix

Adjust the binder dosage and moisture to suit the material and project.

  3. Prepare and install

Prepare the route, mix and spread the material in situ, then level and compact it.

  4. Allow for curing

Plan curing and opening for use according to the system and ambient conditions.
