Refurbishment of imprinted asphalt in good condition but with faded colour, using the Byosport PU system by Byond.
This project involved refurbishing imprinted asphalt that was in good condition but had already lost its colour. The challenge on this project was that the design and supervision team wanted to remove the imprinted pattern from the asphalt.
There were only two possible ways to remove the imprinted pattern from the asphalt:
Of the two options, they chose to resurface the entire area with asphalt, as this was the most economical option and the quickest to carry out. Once the asphalt had been laid, the Byo Bond Seal PU system was applied. This is a polyurethane coating with a C-3 classification and resistance to saline environments.
