Byobond

Byobond is a water-based hybrid polyurethane paint whose formulation provides high-quality benefits. It is specially designed for roads carrying vehicle traffic and road maintenance, to minimise the impact of asphalt oxidation. It is also a decorative paint.

Byobond is applied by spray gun directly onto previously cleaned asphalt. Byobond and the colourant are delivered to site separately and mixed on site with an electric mixer until homogeneous. A mixing time of 2 to 3 minutes is recommended. Do not add water to Byobond, as this alters the formulation and reduces the product's quality. 

Byobond is applied in three coats on roads carrying vehicle traffic. The operator must have experience using the spray gun to achieve the specified quantity of paint per square metre. It is recommended that the first coat, which adheres to the clean asphalt, have a lower coverage rate, and that the second and third coats have a higher coverage rate per square metre. Each coat must be applied in full and allowed to dry before the next coat is applied, to achieve the desired thickness in millimetres and fulfil its intended function.

Byobond is applied in two coats in pedestrian areas and when sealing pores in the asphalt of roads carrying vehicle traffic. 

Byobond is applied to both asphalt and concrete in working areas at ports, airports or loading and unloading bays, as it increases visibility and durability.
